Our Surfing Bear Overdrive is an overdrive pedal to help create one of those most signature guitar sounds in all of music from a clean boost to light crunch and warm drive sounds that can easily be played for both rhythm and lead. With our latest edition of the SBO, we have placed the footswitch closer to the front right side as well as making it easier to replace the 9v battery. And we have a beautiful design and artwork by noted surf art painter Jonas Cleasson from Australia. A bear that has breakfast coffee while surfing brings a heartwarming touch and sense of mono no aware.

The VOL knob has a high output level if needed to boost, and if you keep the DRIVE knob low can be used as a clean booster. Adjust the TONE knob to accentuate treble frequencies and make it a treble booster pedal. Turn up the DRIVE knob to hear an overdrive with sustainability, clear attack, and low noise. The SBO may be based upon the classic “808” style platform, but the circuit has been upgraded and expanded to be a much more modern take on this classic overdrive platform.
