Buy the Cloud Dress sewing pattern from Sewing Patterns by Masin. Cloud is a versatile top and dress design inviting you to play with adding and removing tiers. You can make a top by only attaching the first tier, a midi dress with two tiers, or a floor-length gown by adding a third tier. Cloud is the perfect pattern for beginners – you’ll learn how to sew a neckline facing and become a pro at making gathers.

Note: This pattern was originally published in TAUKO Magazine Issue No. 4 and retains the original TAUKO instructions, which are less detailed than those for other Sewing Patterns by Masin designs.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Note: To save paper, the pattern does not include pieces for the skirt tiers (simple rectangles). Instructions are provided for drawing the pieces directly onto your fabric.

Suggested fabrics: Cloud works best in non-stretch, light to medium weight woven fabrics. The designer prefers a stiff cotton fabric for this piece as it can hold its voluminous shape. Choose a rayon/viscose fabric if you want a more romantic, flowy look. You can also make the Cloud Dress in a sheer fabric such as chiffon and wear it over a simple slip dress for a more elegant look.

The gingham sample dress is made from a 52% linen/48% cotton fabric (6.19 oz./210 gsm) and the petrol blue sample is made from cotton poplin (3.7 oz./125 gsm).

Fabric requirements:

Top (one tier): 55" (140 cm) wide fabric: 50.4" - 94.5" (128 - 240 cm).

Midi dress (two tiers): 55" (140 cm) wide fabric: 100" - 167.7" (254 - 426 cm).

Note: For both versions in sizes 6 - 9, the tier pieces are cut in the opposite grain direction. Be sure to keep this in mind when buying fabric. If you want the tiers to have the same grain direction as the rest of the dress, consider buying more fabric than indicated above.

Sizing: 1 - 9 (approx. UK 6 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Choose your size based on your bust measurement. This dress is designed to have an oversized look. The recommended positive ease is 2" - 3" (5 - 8 cm) at the bust.

Notions: Interfacing; 6 buttons, 0.6" (1.5 cm) wide.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4 print-at-home pattern (18 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet) // Layers: No // Projector file: No.

Teaching Hermeneutics Made Easier!
Format: Hardcover
As a Bible teacher, the students in my class are relating to the material quite easily. This text book is far better than my "old hermeneutics textbook"! I wish I had this text book back when I was in school.

Breaking it down
Format: Hardcover
The authors do an excellent job of breaking the Bible down and explaining it in a way I have not read before. It is sectioned out starting with Genesis and rolling through the books breaking down the main points of each one. It displays how each builds on each other and uses a unique approach to categorizing each book or books.

Very appropriate level of detail
Format: Paperback
New to orthopedics? This book is a must have! The pictures are simple, yet contain enough detail to learn information needed to perform at a professional level. The book does a great job at stepping through the anatomy. It hits all the major conditions and does so in a way that is very easy to understand and retain. Highly recommend this book!

Concise, broad, and conceptual overview
Format: Paperback
I read this book before my first Orthopaedic rotation as a fourth year medical student and it was a superb introduction to Orthopaedic Surgery. It is very concise and well written, and introduces key concepts and fundamental principles of Orthopaedics. As most medical students know, the best learning on clerkships comes from reading about clinical situations as they come up in real life. That said, its always helpful to have a brief introduction to the field before beginning a rotation and I thought this book had the breadth and focus on concepts to be a perfect introductory read since my medical school has little to no coverage of common MSK conditions in the curriculum. More depth can always be found on Orthobullets and in textbooks and the primary literature, but it's helpful to have a broad overview to start out.

Amazing review but falls short in comprehensiveness
Format: Paperback
Felt lost while going into Ortho Sub-Is, but this book was a great quick review before going into them. It served well to give context to the field, but definitely not enough for a thorough review for sub-Is. If you are not in medical school, this book might be more apt for you. Overall, love the cartoon and definitely helped me some questions right on intense pimp sessions.
